We are thrilled to announce that IsCUE 2026 has been a tremendous success. Researchers, engineers, and industry experts from across the globe gathered at Northeast Petroleum University in Daqing, China, for three days of groundbreaking scientific exchange, forging new collaborations, and advancing the frontier of subsurface energy technology.

From inspiring keynotes to lively technical sessions on Carbon Capture and Storage, unconventional resources, hydrogen energy, and direct lithium extraction — IsCUE 2026 brought the international community closer than ever.

The 5th International Symposium on CCS & Unconventional Energy

Coming to Southeast Asia — Quy Nhon City, Vietnam

At the closing ceremony of IsCUE 2026, Prof. Mai Cao Lan took the stage to formally announce that the 5th International Symposium on CCS and Unconventional Energy will be held in the beautiful coastal city of Quy Nhon, Vietnam.

The symposium will continue its tradition of bringing together the world's leading minds in carbon capture and storage, unconventional energy resources, and subsurface engineering — now from the vibrant and rapidly growing scientific community of Southeast Asia.

IsCUE 2027 will mark a milestone as the symposium's first edition in Southeast Asia, deepening the network across the Asia-Pacific research community.
